It’s part of the chorus to a song I’ve had on repeat for about an hour. I’m tempted to share the entire song as my introduction. However, I’ll point you to the forum where we can interact on a personal level; you’ll find the lyrics, and I’ll give you the “bird’s-eye view” here, instead.
I am not a “light and fluffy” healer, although I am a Light Worker. If I had to define myself in a single statement, I’d say that I was a misanthropic optimist. That I have managed to arrive at this point in my life with most of my equanimity intact is nothing short of a miracle; and it qualifies me to be your “Resident Spiritual Coach” on many levels.
My early childhood was spent in a series of foster homes in Southern California. Most of them were terribly abusive. As a teenager, I was fortunate to find some stability living with my rabidly Mormon cousins in Utah and Colorado. At the tender age of 18, I answered an ad in the back of a magazine and obtained my first ministerial license in the Universal Life Church. More recently, I was ordained as a Melchizedek priest. I did spend several years wandering through a myriad of religious, occult, and paranormal concepts before it occurred to me that George Carlin was right: Six billion people? There should be six billion religions.
In the midst of this spiritual self-discovery, I managed to become a healthy woman. A wife. A mother. A poet. A friend. I have been married four times. I have three amazing children from the same lucky guy and one grandchild. I graduated from a four year seminary and at one point intended to become a licensed clinical social worker until I realized that I wouldn’t be allowed to tell people what they were doing to make themselves miserable. Therapeutic counseling is an essential component to healing, whether you’re getting some armchair psychology from your best friend or the guy sitting next to you at the bus stop, as long as the goal is to heal.
Years of personal professional counseling left me unenlightened and confused until I took responsibility for my actions as an adult. I discovered that I had a plan, a purpose, and I was really okay! Discovering that I was a highly sensitive person explained a great deal about how I perceived my earliest experiences and why I became the woman I am today.
When I have a session with my clients, my intent is to give relevant information about their Soul Plan. You were not dumped here in this dimension without a unique map and told, “Have a nice life! See you around!” I utilize my gifts of clairvoyance and empathy combined with a keenly developed intuition to bring people to personal awareness and truth.
I enjoy and appreciate working with the HSP community because you’re absolutely the best at letting go of self loathing and doubt when your plan is revealed. It’s those “Aha!” moments we feel and incorporate better than anyone.
