Butterfly Update

 Re: Butterfly UpdateSo, here is the latest from Butterfly (as of January 4th, 2011)-- we've been exchanging emails for the past couple of days.
As we all know, she has been in a "low place" in her life, for a really long time now... facing challenges over a period of three years that most people deal with in a lifetime: Starting Tribe, then a transatlantic move, then battling cancer, divorce, in-UK move, general health issues and more... at the end of which (no surprise) she ended up battling severe depression. She's still seeing her oncologist, and her current "life" hurdle is to sell her cottage in the UK which-- when it happens-- will offer her a measure of financial security. She is, however, recovering and determined to get back on her feet and revitalize Tribe... however, she's still feeling low and offers no time frame promises about her return. She further wrote that she'd really hoped the forums would stay active and even take on a life of their own. In fact, the biggest "gift" we can give her right now is to rebuild the vibrant community that once thrived here... the members ARE here, and new registrations keep pouring in. Re: Butterfly Update Thank you Peter. That's the most I've heard so far and it is very helpful in knowing how she is and where we're at in this community. I've been keeping an eye on her FB page and was heartened to see some activity there. And she even surfaced to say Happy New Year.....way to go Butterfly! Besides this forum, I've always thought Tribe Magazine was a super idea and hope, one day, she can resume that endeavor.

Unfortunately I joined Tribe in the period since she was an active participant on the forums so I haven't had the pleasure of "meeting" her. But Butterfly, if you're out there I send my love and wishes that your life returns to a bountiful state of happiness and health!
