Post What a horrible week
Is it me or what?

Last week I felt a weird energy. I was restless and agitated. I developed a sinus infection, and woke up at 4:30 A. M. with stomach cramps.

I was trying to work on one of my sites when it crashed. I spent the whole day yesterday going back and forth with the tech people who kept making things worse. I tried to reinstall the site myself with no luck. I asked questions on some user boards but as usual I just got snypiness. Basically, I have no site and I can't install the database backup because the SQL is the wrong version. WTF?

I am very behind in the art and writing pieces I am supposed to be doing.

I know things could be worse but right now this has derailed me.

(I have to change that darned avatar. )

Astrologers will tell you that Mercury is retrograde, and we have been having major solar flares...

Yes, it is definitely Mercury Retrograde at the moment... tends to foul up communication and anything technological that has to "work." This seems to be a particularly bad one, this time.

Mercury goes direct again on August 26th.

Even if you don't believe in the effects of Mercury Retrograde, keep in mind that a LOT of people... as a result of which, they will be on edge, and their edginess will influence your life.

Its so sad to see so much destruction, and willful looting happening in this country. Whether its Mercury retrograde, or just plain
bloodymindedness, there seems so little respect for others at the present moment. I'm not happy about this country, and so glad that I live
out of the centres. This might sound like "I'm all right jack"..and I feel so helpless to do anything in this huge crisis.

I felt the same about the riots, but I felt equally disturbed by the number of racist and reactionary comments that soon swamped the net.

But as bad as this all is (or hopefully was), I was very much moved, when I read about that hundreds of people in the affected areas had decided spontaneously to do something useful. Instead of asking for who's to blame and for harsher punishment as everybody else seemed to do, they gathered with their brooms and started cleaning up the mess.

It's not only, that these people did and still do good things. It's such a wonderful message. It's good to know, that there are still people out there, who do not want to respond to violence with violence. Usually you won't hear much of them, because the others tend to be much louder.
