 The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
It's been a while since I've read it. It's a very short book that you can finish in a day. It hit close to home for me. The mysticism and stuff were cool. The main character has this drive inside him that pushes him to leave the comforts of his home. To leave a life of generations of doing the same thing to find his treasure. Along the way he has to fight being trapped in a comfortable life at each stop. He finds a job that he's good at that makes him comfortable. But his inner drive pushes him forward towards his treasure.

Anyway, it's an enjoyable book. A short read. I hope you like it and find something in it too!

MrStEVEns...I find your discription of this book to be, well... very intriguing. I find so much of myself in just this one sentence, "He (me) finds a job that he's good at that makes him comfortable. But his inner drive pushes him forward towards his treasure".
I will pick this book up, thanks for sharing. JZ

I love this book, I think it manages to convey such a powerful mix of important messages and strong emotion in such a concise form, yet it doesn't feel "short" to me. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to read it! :)
