Please bear with me as all this is so very new to me.
As I maneuver the different floors in this fancy department store I seem to get on elevtors and end up back in the basement or on the roof .

I can not seem to figure out where art ideas such as sketches of people, places and things should go. What department is that under?

And what floor is for crafts type of things like floral arrangements or yard ornaments etc???? what dept is that lol???????

i did finally find the poets corner lol, and the short story area made sense, I didn't fall over top of any display cases there at all. I actually stopped there for a bit and had a cup of coffee.

I also am somewhat confused on the catagory floor of portrait submission photos. I see Heartlight has nature photos in it . I initially thought it meant people photos ..so much for what i thought it meant. Hey, us country girls think portrait equals face.
So is portrait more like a portrait of how we see the world via sky, nature, people, ????

If you will take me by the hand and gently guide me I promise to graduate to the junior high level all by my self , that is once i figure out how to get out of preschool.

I'm pleased you're asking questions. The forum is broken down into sections that will make up the eventual magazine. Some of the descriptions aren't clear enough and I'm going to adopt an idea from HeartLight which will make it easier to follow. For the most part please remember you don't have to enter any of the contests just join in and chat. Any submissions that win the chance to go in the magazine will be edited as needed. Oracle - is the news section. So it's mainly for chat. But you can include book reviews under book reviews, music reviews under music reviews. Or if you have a strong opinion on something that you would like a chance to be published, please include in the opinion piece. The Market Place in Oracle is where you promote your site, blog, or work.

Dream Catchers section contains the following sections for submission:

Portraits ( The proper title for this is Portraits of an HSP) and will be a photographic portrayal of your work. So if you're an artist you submit photos of your work, or if you make baskets, you send pictures of your work. If you're a photographer submit photos of your work. If you make soap or jewelry the same applies.Plus your artists statement. The idea is that we want to feature HSP's in the magazine who are doing the work they love.

My StoryThis is a written piece about the life and trials of an HSP. If you have an interesting story we would love to hear it.

Each issue there will be 3 themes for you to enter your photographic interpretation. The themes for the next issue are:

National Treasure We are looking at the National Parks in the USA. We want any positive experiences you have enjoyed in a National Park. The National Parks will supplement the information with detail.

Earth Guardians We want our community to nominate a person or organization that is working hard for the environment. We will want the reasons why.
